Questions and answers about posting pages to the private (password protected) and public areas.
I submitted a page on the public side and it did not appear. What happened to the page?
The page that you submitted has been placed in a queue. All public page submissions are reviewed by someone to verify the page falls within SSA Content Guidelines. Hyperlinks are checked. After this is done, the submission is validated. After validation, the website has to be rebuilt to show the new page. This process can take from one day to a week as it is performed by volunteers like yourself.
What is a good HTML editor to use to write submissions for SSAfara.net?
There are many HTML editors available. Depending on your HTML coding ability, you can use Notepad (a standard Windows program), to write your submission code from scratch. A couple of good HTML editors are Dreamweaver and CoffeeCup.

One of the worst ways to convert your information from a text file to an HTML file is using MS Word and saving it as a web page. MS Word adds a lot of useless code making it difficult to edit in the future.
If you are not comfortable using HTML code, please submit your information and I will be more than happy to add the hyperlinks and formatting for you.
How do I post private pages to SSAfara.net?
There are different security levels for adding and editing private area web pages. Only a couple people per chapter will be given this security access. This will usually be the chapter's Web Page Coordinator and one other Coordinator. Two steps are involved. The first is you must be registered with SSAfara.net and update your directory record. The second step is to
email me so I verify your information and change your security level.
Can I post photos?
Yes, you can upload a couple of photos per page in the private area. You are limited to the number of photos and the total size of the files per page.
I have posted photos but I can't see them. What do I do?

What is the link I add for people to go from our chapter's public pages to the private page?
The link is posted in Website Posting section.
Our newsletter is saved as a PDF or DOC file. Can I upload it?
Yes, you can upload PDF and Doc files in the private area. A link will be created at the bottom of the page which will allow users to download the file. Most chapters use PDF because most people have Adobe Reader. You can download a free PDF creating program from CutePDF .
