SSA Stonehouse warmly welcomes you and your family to our website. Stonehouse is a small village in Gloucestershire county in the Southwest Region of England.
'Gloucestershire divides into five areas. The Cotswold Hills dominate the eastern half of the county, whilst in the valley below lie the green pastures of the Severn Vale. The vale is also the setting for the Regency spa town of Cheltenham and the historic city of Gloucester, whilst the magical Royal Forest of Dean can be found on the western side of the county.' As taken from LEADING ATTRACTIONS IN GLOUCESTERSHIRE AND THE COTSWOLDS.
Needless to say, Gloucestershire is a beautiful part of England.
If you are considering or have already accepted a transfer to Stonehouse then this website is here to help you. The SSA Stonehouse chapter was started in October 2003. SSA is a support group whose activities are purely social. Membership is open to all Schlumberger spouses and it is voluntary, optional and free.
SSA's main objective is to help make the transition into your new home as smooth as possible. We provide newcomers with a welcome package containing important information about SSA and the Stonehouse, Gloucestershire area. In addition we also provide regular social events like coffee mornings, playgroup, book club, wine and cheese nights, family BBQ's, yoga and many others. We publish and distribute a quarterly newsletter called Tea Break where you can find all the details of events, activities, trips and other news.
If we can be of any assistance please don't hesitate to contact us - you will find our details and email addresses in this website under Contacts. We look forward to hearing from you!
