    1. How do I post new information to the SSA website?

    All posting is currently suspended until the web migration project is completed. - Updated: May 28, 2008

    Spouses have two passwords.

    1. Email/Profile - use to read your email or update your own directory profile.

    2. Web - use to read any content information on the website, including viewing other members' directory information.


    You can create your own web password from the Get New Web Password page.

    Your web password will be sent to you by email. Once you receive it, you may change the password from the Change Web Password page.

    After the SSA Web project upgrade and migration is completed, you will have only one password for Email, Directory, and the SSA website.

    This error signifies a problem with Sendmail on the Webserver, which would affect any forms on the SSAfara.net web site. Please report the issue by sending an email to ssa-support@slb.com - Updated: February 22, 2007

    4. Who can view the Web pages on SSAfara.net? - Top

    The general public can view information on the public SSAfara.net website. There is a private (member's only) area for SSA Chapters to post information requiring a password. For example, the SSA Directory is in the member area. All spouses who have a record in the SSA Directory can view the member's only area. - Updated: February 22, 2007

    5. Our chapter would like to create a custom website. Is this acceptable? - Top

    The only acceptable custom website area for SSA chapters is located in the private area on www.SSAfara.net. Schlumberger provides SSA with this secure web portal. - Updated: February 22, 2007

    SSA has a team of Area Coordinators and Content Editors who review and validate the submitted contents. Once validated, the content is updated and posted live to the site. Please remember these are volunteers who do this in as timely a fashion as possible. - Updated: February 22, 2007

    Yes. The private chapter areas allow for posting documents and photos. See Website Posting for more information and how-to's. - Updated: February 22, 2007

    Newsletters can be posted at the local chapter level. Each chapter is provided with a private website area for posting documents. Downloadable versions of the newsletters should be posted in either doc or pdf format.
