    1. Email Project Overview - Top

    Replace the SSA email server.

    The project includes:

    • Retiring legacy SSA mail server from London Docklands (Oct. 31, 2008)
    • Service remains Extranet – moving to Delft Data Center (Completed)

    • Standardizing messaging environment (Completed)

    • Managed by Enterprise Services Global Mail Team (Completed)

    • Some configuration changes will be required of the users

    • Timeline to completion July 31, 2008

    2. Directory Project Overview - Top

    Move the SSA Directory into a backend database of the Schlumberger Corporate Directory.

    The project includes:

    • Integrating SSA Directory to SLB Corporate Directory


      • Separated from employee records
      • (Completed)
      • Spouses can only view SSA Directory, not employee directory (Spouse view to be completed by Aug. 15, 2008)

      • Employees can view spouse records (preceding link for employees only, must be connected to the Schlumberger network)

      • Extranet, master located in Delft Data Center (Completed)

      • Single sign on for SSA e-mail, directory, and website (website portion to be completed by Sept. 13, 2008)

      • Managed by HR-IT, new records pushed from SAP (Timeline TBA)
      • SSA Global Board members (10) visible in SLB LDAP organigram as ‘reporting to’ the GeoMarket Manager in the location where they reside. (Timeline TBA)

      3. Website Project Overview - Top

      We are updating the web content management system for the SSA from outmoded service which was introduced nearly a decade ago. With over 130 local chapters and 8,000 members worldwide, the SSA has simply outgrown its website.

      The project includes:

      • Retiring legacy hardware (London Docklands)

      • New server installing in Delft Data Center (Netherlands)

      • Extranet – outside Schlumberger

      • New web site/collaboration portal using Alfresco content management with Liferay portal framework

      4. Schlumberger Gateway - Top

      It is necessary to provide some internal Schlumberger content to spouses. This access managed via the SecureGateway. Examples of content available to spouses of Schlumberger employees include:

      • Country Risk Information

      • Health Hub Information

      • Emergency response notifications

      • IT Security Test

      • Updating Directory information

      • Changing passwords

      5. Spouse GINs Project Overview - Top

      This project was initiated by the Schlumberger International Health Coordinator to facilitate medical records management for the spouses of Schlumberger employees. SSA Directory records will be managed by hiring events in SAP.

      The project includes:

      • Sustainable solution for spouse GIN format agreed between International SOS, LDAP team & HR-IT

      • New spouse records for LDAP pushed by SAP

      • This allows HCM, IM and GM spouses to have individual MedTrack records with International SOS

      • Spouse GIN is called SRN (Spouse Reference Number)

      6. Support - Top


      IT support for Schlumberger spouses is handled by the Jakarta Servicedesk.

      Email and Web-based support (no call center)

      All spouse calls to Global Helpdesk re-routed to SSA Support in Jakarta.
